Frutiger Home co-op and multiplayer
Online co-op is listed on the Steam page. Player count and dedicated servers were never confirmed in writing before launch.
Short answer
Steam lists Multi-player, Co-op and Online Co-op on both the full game and the free demo — so decorating together is a demo feature, not a launch promise. What no official source states is the maximum player count, and no source confirms an always-on or dedicated server.

What is confirmed
| Item | Confirmed? | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Multi-player | Yes | Steam store page (full game and demo) |
| Co-op | Yes | Steam store page (full game and demo) |
| Online Co-op | Yes | Steam store page (full game and demo) |
| Media sharing with friends (images and music) | Yes, added in the demo's v0.1.0 update | Developer's 15 June 2026 announcement |
| Moderation prompt before shared media appears | Yes | Developer's 15 June 2026 announcement |
| Maximum player count | No | Nothing published |
| Dedicated / always-on private server | No | Requested 12 Aug 2026; no developer confirmation |
| Local (same-screen) co-op | No | Not listed — the listed modes are the co-op ones above |
How a session works, as far as it is documented
- Host a house and invite friends. The store page frames the game around hanging out with friends, and the Steam categories cover the mode set. The exact invite flow is not documented publicly — treat this as "in game, from the house".
- Media sharing is opt-in on the receiving end. After v0.1.0, friends can share images and music, and the developer states you are asked first for moderation purposes before media is shared into your house. If you build with strangers rather than friends, that prompt is the gate.
- Decorating is shared work. The developer's own description is "create together, or show off your frutiger aero interior decorating skills to your friends" — both are supported framings, not a single mode.
- Controllers are only partly supported in the demo. The demo lists Partial Controller Support while the full game lists Full controller support. One player on 22 August 2026 called the demo's controller support "horrible" and said they only play on controller — if that describes you, the launch build is the version to test, not the demo.
The hosting question
The most specific community request in the demo period is a permanent private server (12 August 2026): "It'd be amazing to host a permanent private server so my friends can join anytime." No developer reply appeared before launch, and nothing on the store page describes persistent hosting.
What that means practically:
- Plan sessions as something you start together rather than a place that stays open.
- Do not buy the game expecting a shared MMO-style world. Nothing published suggests it.
- If persistent hosting matters to you, wait a few days after launch and check the patch notes and the forums — this page will carry the answer with a date.
Common questions
Can I play co-op in the free demo? Yes — the demo's own Steam page lists Multi-player, Co-op and Online Co-op. That is the cheapest way to find out whether the two of you actually enjoy decorating together.
Is there cross-platform play? The game lists Windows only, so there is no cross-platform story to tell yet. Console versions have not been announced.
How many people fit in one house? Unknown, and we are not going to guess. When it is published, this page gets it.
